MIDI Digital Audio Shuffle

This article provided me with a plethora of information about digital audio and how it all works. I had no clue how to operate anything regarding MIDI, digital audio, or anything Garageband, so I learned a lot from the website. The most important thing I learned is that MIDI is not a form of audio, but rather a way for hardware and software to communicate. I think MIDI is efficient because of the tiny amounts of space it uses. Since it's not actual audio, it takes up much less space than an audio file would. Its ability to change keys, instruments, and notes with ease also makes it useful and efficient.

  1. I believe MIDI being considered a communication tool saves a lot of people energy and space rather than finding a legitimate audio file to use. This helps me because I am so messy with my computer (it's really unorganized on here) and I just delete files as I go, so knowing that I can get rid of a bunch of MIDI files (while knowing I can just recreate them) to clear up some space makes me feel very comfortable.

  2. Oh yes, MIDI is a great tool to use. It is also great because you can easily change the timbre and tonality of the file you have. This is an incredible tool as an accompaniment for someone to use.
