PLN: Twitter
My PLN this week is Twitter. As I've gotten more used to my professional twitter, more and more people have started following me, and I them. I have the ability to follow twitters that provide me with useful music education information, and I can more easily keep up with the music education world around me. I can follow account of nearby organizations, important leaders in music education, and my fellow peers. Messages from all of these can be in the same place, which makes gathering information quick and easy. I can get event updates, musical suggestions, and new ideas that I can continue to gather and work with.

I agree 100% with you. Twitter is a great way to communicate with other people relating to music education. It is also good that you are starting to use the account now because you are starting to network with other teachers.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who is new to Twitter, I am beginning to see just what you mean about professional networking! Twitter does not have to necessarily be something for recreational use (although it can be!), which is one of the perks of such a versatile social media outlet.
ReplyDeleteYour post makes me want to use my twitter! I haven't started developing my network yet, but I can definitely see the benefits of using social media to connect with others.
ReplyDeleteI agree, twitter is a great network to bring people, ideas, and organizations together. Im glad that I have a twitter account to be updated.
